Devin Leach, Emerging Leaders Committee Chair The Voice Newsletter August 2023

This year’s ASCC Conference in Grand Rapids marks my 4th year as the chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee. During that time, we have developed a new meeting format focused on exploring leadership topics and have tried to create an engaging, educational, and entertaining atmosphere for all members who attend. We have had guest speakers and group discussions on a myriad of topics. We have also at least doubled the attendance. I can safely say we have an incredible group of emerging leaders who want to be involved in this organization and we are having a blast doing it.

This is where you, the person who made the correct choice to read this newsletter, come in! This organization is only as good as its members, and I would love to see our largest turnout yet at the Emerging Leaders meeting this September. We have many great members in ASCC but don’t have a presence on the Emerging Leader committee. If you are attending the conference this year, bring an emerging leader from your organization and have them sit in. It’s a great way to get a taste of everything ASCC and meet some new people. We are meeting on Wednesday, September 27 at 12:30. The Emerging Leaders will also be hosting the annual Ripsnorter Wednesday night.
