This project was based on a Basilica in Venice that the owners love. The design was installed over integrally colored concrete textured with seamless tamps. Six colors of acid stain were used with varying dilution ratios. The project was particularly challenging because it was stained in the winter when stains react and absorb more slowly. The concrete also has significant slope which meant the stains could not be over applied or they would run and wick onto the adjoining pattern.
