First Place: Polished Concrete & Overlays, Under 5,000 SF

Project consisted of both interior as well as exterior elements to create a unified aesthetic from inside the café to the outdoor patio. We placed and polished a 2,200 SF floor in the library café using the Bomanite Renaissance deep grind system. We also installed a cast-in-place bench that is bisected by a glass curtain wall separating the café from the exterior patio. On the outside, we installed an 1,800 SF outdoor patio to match the aesthetic of the interior floor. The patio was framed by a Bomanite Revealed band as well. There were multiple elements to the intricate project, including hand grinding and polishing the concrete bench. Great representation of the potential to create a seamless design.
