First Place: Cast-in-Place Special Finishes, Over 5,000 SF

Metrobase China at Universal Beijing Resort is a distinct otherworldly environment. Enormous towers erupt from the multi-colored cast in place concrete surfaces, sending signals deep into space and communicating with other N.E.S.T. facilities around the world. Sand blasted ancient Cybertronian glyphs pattern the surfaces while embedded stainless steel monograms and precast concrete medallions adorn the monument bases. Twenty-six different exterior concrete finishes, combined with eleven unique interior flooring surfaces, produce a grand total of 230,000 sq ft of finished concrete and stone surfaces.
